Tiny mayor's golf tourney unveils this year's beneficiaries

Proceeds from June tourney will benefit 17 charitable organizations

Tiny Township has announced the list of charities that will benefit from this year’s Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament.

Since the tournament’s inception, the township has raised over $436,000 in support of more than 40 local charities. In 2023, more than $50,000 was raised for 14 organizations.

Slated for June 14 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., the year’s event will be held at Midland Golf & Country Club.

Pending the final amount raised, the June tourney will see 17 charitable organizations receive funding.

They include: Angels with Backpacks, BGC North Simcoe, Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Simcoe, CLH Foundation, Compassion Place, Friends of Awenda, Gateway Centre for Learning, Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre, Georgian Bay Food Network, Georgian Shores Swinging Seniors Hospice Huronia,  Huronia Community Foundation Independent Living Services, Simcoe  County Quest Art School and Gallery  Scientists in School, Sistema, Huronia Music Academy and We Are The Villagers.

For those looking to help the township’s fundraising efforts, you can register as a golfer, join them for supper only and/or sponsor or donate since there are a variety of sponsorship and donation opportunities available.

The cost for each golf participant is $200 and participants can register as a single up to a foursome (supper included).
