With heaviness in our hearts, we announce the passing of Maxine (Max) Patricia Daoust on the night of Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024.
She will be remembered and missed by daughters Monica Daoust and Janelle Dubeau, son-in-law Korey Dubeau, grandson Walter Dubeau, who will miss his Baba, beloved friend and devoted companion Cathy Scott, as well as her sisters Cathy and Paulie and brother Keith who live in her home province of BC. Max was a free spirit with a quirky sense of humour.
She was an extremely creative woman and found joy in her art and painting and in her earlier years, her cooking. Her family members have many beautiful homemade gifts from her that they will cherish forever with her memory. Max didn’t believe much in funerals so her family will celebrate her privately in the way she would have enjoyed, with a special dinner out where they will all get the most expensive thing on the menu. She truly was a beautiful soul who will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Her family would like to express their gratitude to her PSWs and nurses who cared for her with compassion, brightened her days and humoured her by laughing at her bad jokes.
