The Green Party of Canada is proud to announce Ray Little as its candidate for Simcoe North in the upcoming election.
A seasoned leader with deep roots in the community, Ray brings a wealth of experience in sustainable business practices, economic resilience, and environmental advocacy. His commitment to fostering meaningful political dialogue and advancing triple bottom line solutions — balancing economic, environmental, and social factors — makes him the bold, principled leader Simcoe North needs.
Raised on a farm and a longtime resident of Orillia, Ray is no stranger to hard work and community values. He earned his business degree from Georgian College, followed by an MBA from Royal Roads University, and has spent his career driving innovative solutions in the transportation and clean energy sectors. With 25 years as a business consultant and 15 years in executive leadership at Volvo (Nova Bus), Ray has spent the last five years leading decarbonization efforts in heavy-duty transportation at Siemens Canada.
Beyond his professional achievements, Ray is a devoted father, husband, and advocate for sustainable living. Whether curling, skiing, snowmobiling, or tending his garden, he understands the value of preserving the natural beauty that makes Simcoe North special. He also recognizes the urgent need for leadership that prioritizes a thriving, equitable, and sustainable future for all.
Ray’s platform focuses on five key priorities to drive positive change:
- Building a resilient, sustainable economy through green innovation and support for local industries.
- Investing in clean energy and infrastructure to lower emissions and create long-term jobs.
- Ensuring affordable housing and accessible healthcare for all Simcoe North residents.
- Modernizing democracy and the tax system to make government more accountable and transparent.
- Strengthening Canada’s sovereignty by fostering self-sufficiency and reducing reliance on foreign interests.
“The challenges we face demand bold, solutions-driven leadership. I’m running to elevate the conversation and champion real, sustainable change,” said Ray. “Together, we can build a future that works for everyone — not just the privileged few. I look forward to hearing from the people of Simcoe North and working side by side to shape a greener, stronger tomorrow.”
Residents are encouraged to connect with Ray to share their concerns, ideas, and vision for a better Simcoe North. Join the movement for change — because our future depends on it.
