MidlandToday, in partnership with the Ontario SPCA Midland and District Animal Centre, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.
*************************
This week, we want to find a home for Alfred.
Alfred is a gentle soul who has been at the Midland shelter for some time now.
The toothless wonder is a sweet boy who sadly lost all his teeth due to stomatitis, a swelling of the lining of the mouth that causes a great deal of pain.
This special seven-year-old boy loves affection and wants someone to snuggle with.
If you’re interested in Alfred, please give us a call at (705) 534-4459 or send us an email at [email protected] and we can schedule a meet and greet.
Unable to adopt? Share this feature on social media so each animal can get the exposure it needs and find a loving home.

Another way to help animals like Alfred is by purchasing a ticket for the Ontario SPCA's Spring Draws for Paws 50/50 Lottery. Funds raised provide urgent care and shelter for homeless animals like Alfred.
Two early bird draws are happening on April 4 and 18, with the grand prize draw on April 25th.
The jackpot is currently sitting at $49,000. The more tickets sold, the higher the jackpot will grow. The winner of our last 50/50 lottery took home over $74,000!
Tickets can be purchased online.
