The Georgian Shores Seniors Club, in Tiny Ontario, evolved from an idea to have a facility where members and guests could take part in programs that fit the lifestyles of today's active senior community. The Club provides people 50+ in a rural community an opportunity to stay physically fit and socially engaged. The Club welcomes new members, members and life members to participate in all of the activities in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
In 1974 when the Georgian Shores Seniors Club was incorporated, it started with a few weekly programs such as a bowling league, shuffleboard, and bridge. Today, the Club has grown to a centre that offers many weekly, educational, creative, and recreational programs, ranging from three levels of line dancing to chair yoga, craft groups, pool, bid euchre, book club, camera club and hopefully soon to return -- cooking classes, and monthly socials.
Going forward, the aim of the Georgian Shores Seniors Club is to continue to build a healthy community with programs that address the diverse needs, interests of seniors, and provide and promote fellowship, recreation, entertainment, life enrichment activities within the Township of Tiny and environs.
