A Canadian Postal Service is necessary and instead of seeing $3 billion as “deficit” or “loss,” we should see it as the “cost” of running a non-profit essential service — like the cost of health care, education, military defence ... and, compared with those, really a small part of the overall budget.
How it is spoken of, how the words frame our mindset and the debate, are important!
I wish (a Christmas wish?) that unions and management could work together to find solutions to problems rather than have to resort to the adversarial process as in criminal courts.
