I was devastated to learn of Bell Media’s decision to get rid of Lisa LaFlamme.
I have watched Lisa for many years, as she headed up the CTV news division. I found her to be meticulous, forthright, and never afraid to show a caring side to a story that warranted some human kindness.
I always looked forward to seeing Lisa on the 11 p.m. newscast and special coverage of newsworthy events around the world. Without her being at the helm it will not be the same.
In my opinion, Bell Media is certainly proving the old boys club is alive and well.
Women have fought so hard to have businesses and companies change their way of thinking. This stunt by Bell Media certainly seems to have pierced that bubble and made short work of that effort.
And shows, in my way of thinking, there is not a lot of class in the Bell Media group.
This is how I personally feel about this situation.
