Mike L'Enfant of Midland is facing multiple allegations of violent sexual assault.

Mike L’Enfant, who is suspected of numerous sexual assaults in the Midland area, had his bail revoked today and was remanded in custody with a court date next week regarding his growing list of charges.

L’Enfant, 32, had been out on bail for almost a month after he was arrested in Midland in late October.

His father had been acting as his surety, but L’Enfant was charged with breaching his release conditions.

L’Enfant was back in court Dec. 3 in attempt to get out again after his return to custody last Friday on the new list of charges.

“I can’t say anything,” said the senior L’Enfant, also named Mike, outside bail court where a justice of the peace rejected his most recent bid to act as his son’s surety.

The younger L’Enfant faces new allegations of sexual assault, choking and communicating for the purposes of obtaining sexual services, as well as the breach charge.

He was already facing a slew of serious sexual offences. Those allegations include multiple counts of sexual assault with a weapon, sexual assault, administering a noxious substance and an additional solicitation charge.

None of the charges from October, nor the new ones, have been tested in court.

Police raided his Manly Street home, which is owned by his father, in October. Police arrived back at that address last Thursday night, where it was agreed that L’Enfant would turn himself in on Friday morning.

L’Enfant has a criminal record after being convicted of assault with a weapon and uttering threats.

Police believe there may be more victims and encourage anyone with information to contact Southern Georgian Bay OPP.

L’Enfant is being held at Central North Correctional Centre (CNCC) in Penetanguishene and is bound by a series of conditions not to contact his alleged victims or witnesses.

He returns to court on Dec. 9.
