Canada Post has upgraded its red delivery service alert for Midland and surrounding region to yellow.

According to Canada Post, a yellow service alert means we are going to do our best to deliver, but there may be delays.

The red service alert took effect Friday due to significant winter storm conditions.

“The safety of our employees is our number one priority,” Canada Post stated in an email.

Service alerts will be posted to Canada Post’s delivery service alerts web page, which lists active and archived alerts and updates.

“We encourage customers to clear the snow and ice from their walkways, stairs, and driveways to ensure safe access to the front door for both their visitors, as well as their mail carriers, when service resumes.”

Customers with questions about delivery can contact Canada Post at canadapost.ca/support or 1-866-607-6301 (TTY: 1-800-267-2797).
