Looking for something new to read?
Well, you don’t have to go too far, thanks to the Little Free Libraries now installed throughout Midland.
The Midland Public Library and Town of Midland recently unveiled a new cupboard-sized library at the town dock.
It’s one of eight Little Free Libraries installed in parks and at municipal facilities throughout Midland, which are sponsored by local realtors and designed and built by volunteers.
Community members are encouraged to donate to or borrow from the Little Free Libraries. Library staff will also monitor the libraries and restock them with donations and discards.
In a release, the library noted it’s excited to be part of the endeavour that seeks to engage, inspire and empower the community by extending its focus on literacy into neighbourhoods and when a trip to the downtown facility might not be easy.
