A $ 2,000 Smart and Caring Grant from the John and Jan MacIntyre Community Endowment Fund at HCF will support the digital device coaching for seniors program at Gateway Centre for Learning.

“Our digital world is a confusing and sophisticated environment for many seniors,” Gateway executive director Jennifer Ellis said.

“For them to keep up, they need frequent and repetitive training and support. With fixed incomes, this is not something they can afford often enough to realize any benefits and progress. This grant will go a long way in helping alleviate some of these barriers.”
