An upcoming fundraiser will benefit two local charitable efforts.
On February 21 from 7 a.m. to midnight, the Midland Legion plays host to the Robert Maxwell Comedy Hypnotist Show and live music from Unlocked.
All proceeds from the event will support Southern Georgian Bay Airboat Rescue and Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Simcoe.
According to his website, Maxwell has more than 25 years as a full-time professional entertainer with thousands of shows to his credit. It notes: "Robert's Experience speaks for itself. The best of the best, clean comedy hypnosis, stand up comedy, magic, and mentalism."
While tickets were originally $50, they have since been reduced to $35 and also include light refreshments.
There will also be a silent auction and 50/50 raffle.
“Come for the laughs, stay for the music, and help make a difference in our community,” organizers say.
