Due to the possible Canada Post mail service disruption, NT Power would like to ensure our customers have uninterrupted access to their billing information, account balance, and payment options.
We would like to encourage customers to utilize our digital services to stay informed and keep their accounts up to date.
Key message
To help our customers manage their accounts efficiently during this period, we recommend signing up for paperless billing, pre-authorized payments, and My Account for easy access to account details and due dates. Payments can be conveniently made through online banking, telephone banking, or in person at any bank.
Here are three simple steps to manage your account seamlessly:
- Switch to paperless billing and receive a notification to your inbox when your monthly bill is available, which also reduces paper clutter and waste.
- Set up secure automatic payments with pre-authorized payments, or pay in person at any bank branch, online, via mobile, or through telephone banking or by credit card.
- Log into or register for My Account to view your balance, due date, payment history, and recent electricity usage.
How can I find out what I owe or make a payment?
My Account: Register and log in to view your account balance, due date, and payment history.
Paperless billing: Sign up to receive your bills online, view an image of the bill with due dates, and receive email notifications when new bills are available.
Automated phone system: Call our automated interactive phone system and follow the prompts to access billing and payment details.

Pre-authorized payments: Sign up for automatic withdrawals to ensure timely payments.
Email assistance: For account balance inquiries, email [email protected].
Web chat: During business hours, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., access our new chat feature to talk to one of our friendly customer service representatives who will be happy to answer any questions you have.
Credit card payments: Pay your NT Power bill by credit card online or by phone using MasterCard and Visa.
Please allow three business days for the payment to reach us when using this payment option. Paymentus Corporation is an independent company and charges a convenience fee to pay your bill using this service. However, NT Power does not retain any portion of the convenience fee.
Please remember that it remains the responsibility of our customers to keep their accounts current. Payments can be made via pre-authorized payments, credit card, online banking, telephone banking, or in person at financial institutions in Canada. Please refrain from mailing payments during the disruption as they may not reach us by the due date. Late fees may apply to unpaid balances, but we are here to assist if you encounter any financial difficulties.
Additionally, customers who opt to add paperless billing to their account between now and Nov. 30 will also be supporting their local hospital foundation as NT Power will be donating $5 for each new paperless billing customer to Southlake Foundation for Newmarket customers or Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation for customers in Midland and Tay Township.
