Hundreds of local elementary school students braved chilly temperatures to take part in Tuesday's Simcoe North Elementary School Cross Country Meet.
Close to 20 schools were represented at the annual favourite that sees runners follow a set course through Little Lake Park.
The top 20 runners in each race advances to the Simcoe County Championship next Wednesday at Mount St. Louis Moonstone. Those getting the nod for the next race include the top two teams in each grade level race as well as the next 12 best finishers.
