Windlee Farms hosts its annual maple syrup open house this weekend.
Located at 10 Baseline Rd North in Tiny, Windlee Farms will be opening their sugar bush and sugar shack by letting the public come and experience what it’s like to experience “Maple Weekend.”
Visitors will be able to explore the maple bush and see the sap flowing through the tubes and smell the sap boiling in an evaporator to make fresh maple syrup.
There will be a wide range of other activities featured at the family-owned and -operated craft maple syrup producer throughout Saturday and Sunday.
Some of these offerings include: Children’s face painting, Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre’s birds of prey from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, tastings and taffy on snow,, a blacksmithing demonstration by Lafontaine Iron Werks Inc. and wagon rides to the sugar bush.
