Midland Public Library hosts bestselling cookbook author, television personality and MasterChef Canada Season 3 winner Mary Berg for a virtual demonstration and author visit on Saturday.
Beginning at 2 p.m., the presentation “is a must-see for all foodies, reality and lifestyle television aficionados, and anyone who believes in food as a love language,” the library said in a release.
After kick starting her cooking career with a Season 3 win on the popular reality cooking show MasterChef Canada, Berg has gone on to host two Canadian Screen Award-winning shows of her own, Mary Makes It Easy & Mary’s Kitchen Crush.
Also a bestselling cookbook author, Berg’s latest book Well Seasoned: A Year's Worth of Delicious Recipes offers readers a glimpse into cooking seasonally; whether that means using ingredients available at the farmer’s market, the weather outside or an overall mood.
“With her signature warm style and easy-to-follow instructions, Mary’s recipes are perfect for all, from the experienced gourmet to the amateur home cook,” the library noted.
As a part of this special virtual event, Berg will be demonstrating a simple recipe from her hit television show, Mary Makes It Easy, followed by an interview about her cookbooks and career with Jennifer Paquette, the library’s adult and teen services coordinator.
Those interested can register to receive the online meeting information by emailing Paquette at [email protected].
