Throughout our lives, we encounter challenges and adversity.
The way we approach these life situations determines whether we grow and survive or struggle and sometimes simply surrender to the circumstances.
We’ve all been offered well-intentioned advice or have offered others these clichés: 'When the going gets tough, the tough get going;' 'Get back up, dust yourself off, and get on with it.'
Perhaps, the best advice is to show some Resilience!
But what is this coping mechanism called Resilience? Where does it start? Do I demonstrate Resilience? Can I learn to be Resilient? How can Resilience be sustained and reinforced? These and other questions will be addressed during Our Health Program entitled: Resilience A Key to Happiness.
Panelists Glenn Robitaille, John Playford and Robyne Hanley-Dafoe possess a wealth of knowledge as well as extensive professional and personal experience. Their insight and inspiring stories of bounce back and recovery will prove beneficial to all ages.
"Resilience is going to be a 'fun' event, and I am looking forward to the discussion with our three very knowledgeable and enthusiastic panelists Robyne, John and Glenn," event moderator Keith Rose said.
The live event will be broadcast on all Rogers tv Simcoe County area channels, including channel 52 in Midland. For those with smartphones, tablets or computers with a Wi-Fi connection, it can be viewed online.
Prior to and during the event we encourage you to send us your questions, stories and resilience building tips. After the event your feedback is welcomed. Please send all correspondence to [email protected].
