As the winter season approaches, the Town of Midland will welcome area residents to gain insight into how it conducts its winter operations.
The public is encouraged to attend the Wednesday evening session to learn firsthand about the various strategies and procedures used for winter maintenance, including how Midland incorporates the province’s minimum maintenance standards for snow clearing.
Attendees will also be able to ask staff questions and check out a snow plow, a sidewalk plow and a loader with blower attachment. However, for safety reasons, there will be no demonstrations and the public will not be allowed to climb on any equipment.
The event runs from 6pm to 8 p.m. in the Bill Thompson room of the North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre.
