On Sunday the Town of Midland kicked off the first of many summer music events with the successful return of the beloved "Music in the Park" series at Little Lake Park.

These free summer concerts are open to everyone, with shows running Sundays at 7 p.m. until Aug. 25.

“The revival of this cherished tradition not only brings our community together, but also creates valuable opportunities for our local musical talent,” said Town of Midland Mayor Bill Gordon. “I am so proud of our community and their enthusiasm for events like this. The Town saw a need and we are happy to deliver!”

Sunday’s show featured incredible performances by Heather Halo who opened for 93 North. The event saw an impressive turnout, where the crowd of all ages enjoyed an evening of jamming out.

The music was heard all throughout Little Lake Park, one of Midland’s signature and must-see spots. Live music is the perfect pairing for a walk through the park, a meal at the picnic tables, or for families enjoying the park playgrounds.

The summer lineup includes:

  • Aug. 11 – 7 p.m. Kitty Unplugged
  • Aug. 18 – 7 p.m. The Brudders
