Tiny is getting ready to host its annual tree lighting celebration.
Slated for Tuesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m., the community is invited to kick off the holiday season with family and friends at Perkinsfield Park. The official tree lighting will take place at 6 p.m.
The township will be collecting non-perishable food donations on behalf of the Georgian Bay Food Network, which will be distributed throughout the community to those in need ahead of the Christmas season.
The celebration includes a variety of delicious food and beverage options including hot chocolate, apple cider, holiday cookies, s’mores by the bonfire, and selections available from the ‘toonie’ food trucks. The food trucks will offer items priced at $2 each such as BeaverTails, sausages, hot dogs and fries (quantities are limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis).
Entertainment for the evening will feature a live performance by the Bay Sound Singers, an opportunity to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and an array of activities for children and families.
