Philip George Assence passed away suddenly on Tuesday February 18, 2025, in his 51st year. Cherished brother to Eva Peters, Paula Assence (Jimi). Loving Uncle to Vanessa (Garret) and Jordan, great Uncle to Fiona, Daniella and Brayden. Phil will be missed by Amanda (Jonathan), Anthony (Jacqueline), Daniel (Melodie), his Auntie Mary Lou, uncle Erwin, Auntie Dale and by his many cousins, family and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Verna Peters and Clarence Assence Jr. and stepfather Raymond Tabobondung. Auntie Gwen, uncles Jed and Gene and Auntie Lillian.
Services will be held at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home - 155 Main Street, Penetanguishene. Visitation with family and friends will be on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 6 - 8pm. A funeral service will follow on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 1pm. Following the Service everyone is invited for a light refreshment in the lower level of the Funeral Home.
A burial will commence in the Spring at the Christian Island United Cemetery. Flowers will be welcomed on the date of the burial.
