Passed away peacefully at home on October 1st, 2024 with his family by his side at the age of 82.
Bernard of Midland, loving father of Rita Gignac (Dan Dusome), Carmen Gignac, Maurice (Laura) Gignac, Denis Gignac (Charmaine Paynter) and Luke Gignac (Veronica Cleaveley). Cherished grandfather of Dave (Sarah), Eileen (Dave), Zachary (Pauline), Erica (Marco), Michael, Aaron (Jessica), Grace, Jack and great grandfather of many caring great grandchildren. Bernard will also be missed by his many siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held at Penetanguishene Funeral Home on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 2pm – 4pm and again from 6pm– 8pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at St. Ann’s Church, Penetanguishene starting at 10am. Cremation is to follow the mass. Everyone is welcome to the reception that is being held in the lower level of the church.
Flowers are welcomed or a memorial donation can be made to the Lorna Tomlinson Residence for Seniors operated by Wendat Community Programs in memory of Bernard and would be greatly appreciated by his family.
