It is with heavy but humble hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Wife (Bill Grieves), Mom (Shannon, Billy and Jeff) and “Granma” (Cassidy and Jaydin), Linda Grieves, at the age of 77, after a courageous six-year battle with cancer. Linda gracefully gained her angel wings on Tuesday October 22, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Linda was a proud Wife, Mom, Granma, Sister, Aunt, Friend and Neighbour. She was truly a remarkable woman, known for her kindness, warmth, and infectious spirit. Linda had the unique ability to make everyone feel special and to bring joy to whoever she was with. Her heart was so big and there was room for everyone. Her laughter and love touched countless lives and her generous heart was a guiding light in the lives of her family and friends.
Throughout her life, Linda dedicated herself to her family, friends, and causes close to her heart.
She was a passionate advocate for animals and children, and in her memory, we encourage
donations to the Midland OSPCA, SickKids Foundation or Hospice Huronia
Though she will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her, her legacy of love and compassion will live on in our hearts forever. To say that she fought a war is an understatement. Her strength and determination helped her to fight with everything she had and she showed us the true meaning of what a hero really is.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held in the late Spring. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in honouring her remarkable journey.
Rest in peace, dear Mom/“Granma”. You will always be our favourite person and we will keep you close in our hearts forever. Thank you for all of the great memories and for always loving us.
