November 21, 1933 ~ November 28, 2020 (age 87)
The family of Richard Archer Pepperdene are sad to announce his death on November 28, 2020. Richard is predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Jean Elizabeth Pepperdene (Geldart) and his parents Liddon M. Pepperdene and Florence E. Pepperdene (Shaw), his sisters Barbara and Katherine and Brothers Kenneth and David. Richard is survived by his sister Joyce O’Dell and his children Deborah Stewart (Dave), Sandra Iacovetta (Tony), Joann Pepperdene (Kathy), Susan Baiden (Larry) and Brenda Heon (Mike). Also survived by his grandchildren Cheryl Howlett (Bill), Andrea Stewart (Saad), Melissa Stewart (Terry), Stacey Iacovetta, Michael Iacovetta (Sarah) , Alexandria Baiden (Evan), Samantha Baiden, Bailey Crockett (Corey) and great grandchildren Koston, Lily, Evelyn, Aya, Sarah and Ali. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews on the Geldart and Pepperdene family trees.
Richard spent his last three weeks in King Place Retirement Home, Midland and loved every minute of it. We had hoped he would spend more time there making friends but are thankful he really enjoyed those few weeks. A salesman all his life his stories never ceased to entertain us. As children he played with us, taught us the love of reading and as we grew up, we found him to be a great listener. He loved to cook gourmet meals. He enjoyed golf and nature and spending time in Muskoka. Dad was a great artist and we have many paintings which we will treasure as we remember him. Dad will be cremated and at his request there will be no services. Rest in Peace Dad.
