It is with profound sadness that the family of Edward Joseph Trudeau announce his passing on June 16, 2022 in his 84th year.
He was born in Parry Sound to Philip and Alda Marie (Lalumiere). He was educated in the Christian Brothers private school system of De La Salle in Toronto and Scollard Hall in North Bay and then two years at MPDHS. He excelled as an athlete and has a large collection of medals and trophies from various sports. He continued to participate in local sports, both playing and coaching and was a founding member of the Penetang Oldtimers Hockey Club. He was a staunch Montreal Canadian fan.
His love of golf has influenced his family and now four generations play together. He has two holes in one to his credit. He was a country music fan and enjoyed playing Paul’s guitar. May he rise to glory on the wings of song. He is survived by his loving wife and greatest fan, Shirley and two children, Laurie Trudeau-Lalonde (Ron) and David (Lisa). He was predeceased by son Paul Edward (Chantale). He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by five grandchildren, Andrew, Jaimie, Ethan, Kelsey and Madison, and three great grandchildren James, Noah and Lilah. He is survived by his brother Alan ( Audrey), and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
As per his request cremation has taken place and funeral arrangements are as follows; Funeral mass at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Penetanguishene at 10:30 on July 23rd. Following mass we will gather in the church hall to celebrate a life that was well lived, each day was a joy. A private interment will take place at a later date at St. Ann’s Cemetery.
