A Scarborough man accused of drug trafficking in Simcoe County is facing numerous drug and weapon charges.
In January, Orillia OPP began investigating a man suspected of trafficking drugs in the county. On Tuesday, members of the Orillia and Muskoka community street crime units arrested the suspect and executed search warrants at his residence and on his vehicle.
The following items were seized:
- Glock 19 9mm (prohibited magazine with automatic switch)
- Lorcin .380 calibre (prohibited magazine loaded)
- 9mm ammunition
- .380 ammunition
- 32 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine
- 255 grams of cannabis
- $1,700 in Canadian currency
Jonathan St. Louis, 24, is facing the following charges:
- Possession of a prohibited device with a fully automatic switch and overcapacity magazines (three counts)
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm (two counts)
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm (two counts)
- Possession of a loaded prohibited firearm (two counts)
- Careless storage of a prohibited firearm (two counts)
- Tampering with the serial number of a firearm
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (oxycodone)
- Possession of illicit cannabis for the purpose of selling
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing Wednesday in Barrie.
