Impaired charges laid after parked vehicle struck in Midland

A woman is facing charges after a parked vehicle was struck Thursday in Midland.

At about 5:15 p.m., police were called to an address on King Street, where the owner of a parked vehicle said it had been struck by another vehicle.

Deborah Janice MacLeod, 64, of London, has been charged with dangerous operation, operation while impaired (alcohol and drugs) and operation while impaired (blood-alcohol concentration 80-plus).

The accused was released from custody and has a July 18 court date. Her driver’s licence will be suspended for 90 days and the vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
