A Tay Township man is facing drug charges after being stopped at a RIDE checkpoint Sunday in Midland.
The vehicle was stopped at about 11 p.m. on Vinden Street. Police found cocaine, cannabis, oxycodone pills, drug paraphernalia and more than $5,500 in Canadian currency, Southern Georgina Bay OPP said in a news release.
The 48-year-old man, whose name has not been released, has been charged with possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) and possession of a Schedule 1 substance (opioid other than heroin). He was released from custody with a future court date.
