An Elmira man faces an impaired driving charge following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 400 Sunday night.
Southern Georgian OPP officers responded at 11:20 p.m. after receiving a report of a northbound single-vehicle rollover into the centre median near Quarry Road in Severn Township.
Upon arrival, first responders found two passengers trapped inside a small white car. They were extricated and transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The incident also forced police to close the northbound lanes for several hours.
As a result of the police investigation, Dylan Bates, 30, was charged with failure or refusal to comply with a demand (bodily harm) and driving a vehicle with an open container of liquor.
Bates was released from custody and will appear in court Feb. 6. His licence was also suspended for 90 days and the subject vehicle impounded for a week.
