Midland man charged after vehicles entered, stolen credit cards used

Police say incidents happened between Nov. 12 and 20 in Midland

A Midland man has been charged after numerous vehicles were entered and credit cards were stolen and used.

The incidents were reported between Nov. 12 and 20 at locations on Fuller Avenue, Manly Street, Hugel Avenue, Bay Street and Ellen Street, all in Midland, Southern Georgian Bay OPP said in a news release.

Surveillance footage from numerous retail locations led police to charge Brandon David Hamilton, 28, of no fixed address, Midland, with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (four counts), use of a credit card (four counts) and failure to comply with a probation order (nine counts).

The accused was arrested Wednesday. He was released from custody following a bail hearing and has a Dec. 19 court date.
