One person is facing charges after a vehicle was stolen and an apartment was broken into.
Ontario Provincial Police were called to Ottawa Street just before 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23 to investigate the theft of a vehicle.
Investigators tracked down the 2014 Jeep, which was parked in front of a multi-resident residence on Elizabeth Street.
Police say the Jeep contained stolen property and they were able to identify a suspect.
On Thursday, October 24, officers were called to First Street and Yonge Street to investigate an unwanted person. When they arrived they arrested the suspect in the stolen vehicle investigation.
The suspect was released with a future court date.
Then just before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 25, someone called police to report a person who appeared to be forcefully breaking into a Midland Avenue apartment.
When officers arrived, they arrested the suspect again.
Clayton Arch, 42, of Midland has been charged with:
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada
- Break, Enter a place - with intent to commit indictable offence
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on December 5.
