Pedestrian in serious condition after hit-and-run at Bayfield Mall

City police are investigating this morning after a possible fail-to-remain collision involving a pedestrian in Barrie’s north end that has left a man in hospital with serious injuries.

Police say they received the call at approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday from the scene at the entrance to the Bayfield Mall from Coulter Street.

“It doesn’t appear the vehicle remained on scene,” police communications coordinator Jennett Mays said.

Mays said the investigation is still in its early stages.
