One person is facing charges after a theft at the Midland Home Depot last week.

Barry Philip Assance, 40, of Orillia was charged with theft under $5,000 - shoplifting in relation to the theft of a power tool on February 13.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on March 27.

Police are looking for a suspect following a theft from The Home Depot in Midland.

On Feb. 13, police were told someone walked out of the store without paying for a Milwaukee M18 Fuel one-inch SDS rotary hammer drill, serial number 1001625327.

The suspect is described as appearing to be a man, 30 to 35 years old, standing five-foot-10, weighing 220 pounds, with short dark hair, wearing a black Milwaukee coat, a grey/blue hoodie, black pants, black winter boots, and a black ball cap with white writing on the front.
