Teen charged with stunt driving, at double the speed limit: OPP

A teenager with a G2 licence has been charged with stunt driving and speeding after OPP says they were caught going 121 kilometres per hour in a 60-km/h zone on County Road 90 on Sunday.

A 17-year-old driver with a G2 licence will be giving their walking shoes a workout after provincial police say they were caught going more than double the speed limit in Essa Township on Sunday.

Nottawasaga OPP stopped the driver after their vehicle was clocked at 121 kilometres per hour in a posted 60-km/h zone on County Road 90 on Feb. 9.

The teen has been charged with stunt driving and speeding. 

Their driver's licence was also suspended for 30 days and the vehicle will be impounded for 14 days.
