Chartwell Tiffin Retirement Home in Midland, Ontario is hiring for positions in a variety of fields. Read on to see if one of them is right for you.

Chartwell Tiffin was built in 2014 and acquired by Chartwell in 2016. It features 48 independent supportive living suites, 44 assisted living suites and 29 memory care suites, in a modern, beautiful residence overlooking Georgian Bay and near downtown Midland as well.

“Tiffin is a beautiful residence,” said a spokesperson. “The views and amenities are spectacular, including an exercise pool, gorgeous gardens, and a theatre with cinema-style seating. We are also well-known for our varied and delicious food choices. There is also so much to do in Midland, with the incredible surroundings and so many outdoor amenities.”

Currently, Chartwell is hiring team members for Tiffin in nursing and food services, both full and part-time. Below are more detailed job descriptions.

The Guest Attendant is responsible for assisting residents with the activities of daily living in a safe and caring manner. As a member of the nursing team, they support and encourage the residents to build self-esteem, promote independence and protect their rights to autonomy and dignity.

The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in a Retirement Residence provides professional nursing care to residents and as required will supervise the activities and provide direction to Care Workers as defined by the College of Nurses Standard of Practice. 

The Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality meals to meet the nutritional needs of the residents and guests, while consistently maintaining the relevant health, hygiene, and safety standards.

The Server is responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals and providing catering services, ensures work areas are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition.
