What: A Statutory Public Meeting for a privately-initiated application to amend the Town's Official Plan and Zoning By-law.

When: Wednesday, December 4 at 6:00 p.m.

Where: In-Person at the Town Hall or virtually on Zoom

Property Location: 16728 Highway 12

Why: To permit the development of a self-storage and truck rental facility on the property.

The proposed site-specific Official Plan Amendment will redesignate the property from the ‘Greenlands’ and ‘Natural Heritage’ Designation to the ‘Commercial Corridor’ Designation and add ‘self-storage’ as a site-specific use to allow for the development of a self-storage facility. 

The purpose of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the property from the Highway Commercial (HC) zone to the Highway Commercial Exception (HC-XX) zone as to permit a ‘Self Storage Facility’, add a definition for ‘Automobile Rental Agency’ to allow truck rentals, and to increase the Maximum Height of a building to 12.5 metres.
