Huronia Community Foundation helps out three local organizations

St. Paul's United Church, Penetanguishene Public Library and CLH Foundation receive cheques to help with various initiatives

Three local organizations received some much needed support recently from the Huronia Community Foundation.

The Penetanguishene Public Library Endowment Fund at Huronia Community Foundation since 2007 has provided additional financial support for the organization.

"We are very thankful for the funds as the library is in need of repairing eavestroughs, downspouts and automatic door opener," CEO/librarian Linda Keenan said.

As well, the CLH Foundation Endowment Fund at Huronia Community Foundation has provided an annual grant in support of the organization for over two decades now.

"The annual disbursement to the CLH Foundation from interest earned on the invested funds is a terrific reminder of the powerful benefits of endowment," notes CLH Foundation revenue development director Sue-Ellen Boyes.

And over the years the Benevolent Fund at St. Paul's United Church in Midland has assisted hundreds of people in need in the community. This assistance has included food, housing as well as other essential needs.

"This year's grant from the Cliff Pendlebury Endowment Fund will be used to continue funding the community outreach work at St. Paul's," said Zena Pendlebury.
