Jamie Miller, who is seen with his family, died in hospital Tuesday after being shot outside his Victoria Harbour home Aug. 17.

Jamie "Bubba" Miller, a father of seven and the owner of Bubba's Pizza in Victoria Harbour who was shot Aug. 17, died of his injuries Tuesday.

He was shot outside his home on Maple Street and was taken to a Toronto hospital.

Jeremy Miller-Baker has set up a GoFundMe account to help the family cover the costs of the funeral.

In the post, Miller-Baker writes, "The world lost a wonderful man, a loving husband, an incredible father to seven, an idolized brother, an adored son, and a great friend to all."

The post goes on to say Miller was predeceased by a brother less than a year ago.

He is survived by his parents, Joe and Sherry, his wife, Amanda, his seven children and five brothers.

"Jamie was loved by so many, and truly a man of the community. He was always available to help absolutely anybody in need whenever he could. He was the owner a well-loved community restaurant. There was never a moment where you couldn't walk into the restaurant and catch Jamie with a smile on his face," the post reads.

"The family is devastated by this loss. We want to be able to give Jamie the memorial that he deserves, to honour his memory, and to say our last goodbyes."

As of Thursday at about noon, the $3,035 of the $5,000 goal had been raised.

An arrest has not yet been made in connection to the shooting.

"The investigation is continuing," said Southern Georgian Bay OPP Const. David Hobson.

A black four-door sedan is a vehicle of interest to the police. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
