It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother Melina Dorion (née LeSaux)
On July 5, 2024, in her 93rd year. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Sara Vista Long-Term Care Home.
Beloved wife of the late Oliver (B) Dorion. Loving mother to Janine Dorion, Dennis (Lynda) Dorion, Michael (Heidi) Dorion, Patricia (Gord) Maurice, Colette St. Amant (Rob).
She will be greatly missed by her family, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by her sisters Lucille Mayer, Margaret Brunelle, Jeannette Robitaille, pre-deceased by Marie King and Rosalie Robitaille. Pre-deceased by brothers, René LeSaux, Raymond LeSaux, Fred LeSaux, Jerome LeSaux, Leonard LeSaux, Roger LeSaux & Louis LeSaux. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Melina had a love for cooking and baking for her family, especially at Christmas dinners. She enjoyed
yard-sailing and thrift stores to find that special little treasure. She spent many summer days outdoors gathering wood, and in the Fall she’d settle in to do knitting & sewing.
The family would like to send a sincere thank you to the staff at Sara Vista for their wonderful care. We are profoundly grateful for all their support and benevolence.
Family and friends are invited to Melina’s Celebration of Life, August 10, 2024, 1pm to 3pm, in the Askennonia Room at the North Simcoe Sports Recreation Centre, Midland.
