13-Nov-1950 - 01-Jan-2021

Grace Grenier (nee Chow)It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Grace Grenier, on January 1st, 2021 at the age of 70, after a very courageous battle with cancer. Grace was born on November 13th, 1950 in Toronto, Ontario to Fred and Verna Chow (nee Williams). She fell in love, married Leonard Grenier on October 11, 1969, and moved to Penetanguishene, Ontario to start their life together. They purchased their forever home on Macavalley Road where they created many cherished memories with family and friends.
Grace is predeceased by her parents and brother George. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 51 years, Leonard, daughters Stephanie (Shaun Desroches), Connie (César Rainusso) and four grandchildren, Benjamin, Kyle, Ella and Camren.  As part of a large extended family, she will be fondly remembered by many in-laws, nieces, nephews and long-time close friends.
Grace was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her daughters and embraced every moment with them. Holiday traditions were important to her and she enjoyed cooking large family meals including this past Christmas. She especially loved her role as Grammie. She enjoyed spoiling her 4 grandkids and taking them on adventures including riding the tallest of roller coasters. She was also often seen in the cheering section of many sporting and school events. Grace has always been known for her exceptional work ethic and dedication to her work. She was a long-term colleague of Chin and Orr Law Firm and although she retired in 2017, she kept the will to work right up to her illness. Grace also had a strong passion and commitment for community volunteering and fundraising.
Due to pandemic restrictions, we are unable to host family and friends at this time. We will have a small mass for immediate family only and will stream for open viewing. Once we are able, we will host a celebration to honour Grace’s life and contributions.
If desired, donations to the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre would be greatly appreciated.
