Ken died peacefully on Christmas Eve, surrounded by family after a lengthy battle with C.O.P.D.
The first of 12 children, Ken was predeceased by two younger brothers, Robert and Michael, our father Robert, as well as our beloved mother, Frances Brophy, who all will be there to welcome him with open arms and with a breath of the fresh air of heaven.
A lover of music and books, Kenny leaves behind many loyal friends that he met during his years spent in the hospitality industry and later when he became a teacher with the York Catholic District School Board, where he would help shape the lives of our future generations.
He will be remembered and greatly missed by his surviving siblings Frances Joyce (Cameron), Rita Martellacci (Louie), Mary Anne (Charles), Bill, Carol, Kathryn, Eileen, David and Patricia.
Ken will also be greatly missed by many friends, dear nieces and nephews and their children who will happily recall many wonderful weekends and holidays spent at the cottage in Muskoka, or at the farm in Cambridge.
Friends are invited to join the family at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home for a visitation on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 11 a.m. till 1:30p.m...
