Sherry-Jane, who passed away December 31, 2024, at the age of 70, leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. Born on May 5, 1954, in Midland, Ontario, she was the beloved daughter of Mickey and Charlotte McIntaggart. Sherry-Jane pursued her passion for nursing at Georgian College, beginning her career at St Andrews Hospital, and later dedicating herself to education serving students with complex needs within the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board until she retired.
For 47 years, she shared a great love with her husband Bob, and together they raised five children: Ashleigh (Bryan), Joshua (Amanda), Nicholas (Sarah) and Harmony (Shawn), along with their late daughter Jessica, who will forever remain in their hearts. She was further blessed with eight grandchildren: Allarych, Riah, Emmerson, Benton, Molly, Maysie, Axel and Riggs, who brought her immense joy.
Sherry-Jane's warmth extended to her siblings, Ben (Debbie), Scott (Michael), Russell (Janice), Mary (Craig), and Kelly (Pat), who will carry her memory forward. Her life was marked by compassion, commitment, and a deep love for music, often playing the accordion to bring joy at family gatherings and instilling a passion for music to her children and grandchildren.
Sherry-Jane will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Memorial donations to Covenant House are welcomed. Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life honouring Sherry-Jane on January 5, 2024 from 2:30-4:30 at the Askennonia Senior Centre in Midland, ON.
