It is with great sadness that the family of Fernand Loranger (Fern) announces his passing on December 6, 2024, in Midland, Ontario, at the age of 81. Fernand was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, known for his strong work ethic, adventurous spirit, and deep love for the outdoors.

A skilled welder, Fernand spent many years working at Denison Mine, where his dedication and craftsmanship left a lasting impact. Beyond his work, Fernand had a passion for hockey, snowmobiling, hunting, and fishing—activities he cherished and enjoyed sharing with family and friends.

Fernand is survived by his devoted wife, Claire Loranger; his daughter, Lynne Moise (Gary); his son, Marc Loranger (Leah); and his cherished grandchildren: Todd, Jordan, Bryson, Dylan (Koralie), Danielle (Reilly), Alex and his great-granddaughter Amaia. He will also be missed by numerous extended family members and friends.

In accordance with Fernand’s wishes, there will be no formal services. His family asks that those who wish to honour his memory do so by spending time outdoors, reflecting on the simple joys he loved.

Fernand will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Rest in peace, Dad.
