Robert Martin Marion 1937-2024

Bob passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 7, 2024 in Penetanguishene, Ontario at Tomkins House.

He was born in Barrie, Ontario to Flora Forget and Arthur Marion. In his younger years, he was a member of the Royal Canadian Navy.
After his time with the Navy, he made his way to Alberta. In 1975, he married the love of his life, Barbara Dronyk. During the next several years, they built their first family home just outside of Stoney Plain, Alberta.

His adventures with his family would take Bob back to Ontario a few years later, once again building a home where they would raise their children.

He spent thirty-three incredibly happy years with his loving wife, until she preceded him in death in 2008. Bob then kept busy travelling, and making the most of the time he had left.

Bob was an avid pool player. He was competitive by nature, but always willing to help out with someone's shot. He loved the game and the friendships he shared playing.

He was a kind, caring, hard- working and generous man. He loved creating with his hands: taught carpentry, dabbled in masonry, built houses and crafted beautiful things from wood.

He would give you the shirt off his back if he could. He was loved by many. Bob was the best father and grandfather we could have ever asked for.
Bob is survived by his daughter Bernadette (Aaron) and his sons Arthur, Jean Paul and Matthew (Christina), his grandchildren- Deaydra, Oakley, Caidyn, Shailey and Cashton, his sister Marie and brothers Wayne and Richard. He will be forever loved and deeply missed.

A celebration of life complete with a few games of pool will take place at the Midland Legion on August 11, 2024 from 1:00-3:30.

The family asks that donations to Hospice Huronia- Tomkins House be made in lieu of flowers.
