1939 - 2025
Bob Marshall peacefully passed away at Royal Victoria Hospital on February 5, 2025 due to complications from Parkinson’s Disease. He is deeply missed by Lois, his wife of 61 years, his sons Bruce, Sean (Kalpana), Philip (Melodie) and his grandchildren, Liza, Ella, Nisha, Milun, Cole and Brayden. Bob is predeceased by his sisters, Joan and Mary, and his daughter-in-law Winnie. He was a Professional Engineer with degrees in Civil and Water Resources Engineering. From 1964 to 1999 he taught Civil Engineering Technology at Georgian College in Barrie. In retirement he enjoyed cottaging, hiking, travelling, canoeing, sailing, and life on his treed property in Oro-Medonte. He sold firewood, milled lumber, turned wooden bowls, and made maple syrup.
Many thanks go to the staff of the Medical Inpatient Unit at RVH for the excellent care he received in the last weeks of his life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Grace United Church, 350 Grove Street East Barrie, on Saturday March 1st at 11:00 am with visitation starting at 10:30 am.
