It is with incredible sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara (Barb) Lynn Mosey; on Friday November 15th, 2024 at the age of 73. Barb was a loving mother to Shannon Dunn (Jonathan Kytayko) and a cherished grandmother to Cole and Ava Kytayko. She is fondly remembered by extended family and her many close friends.

Barb was a woman of great strength, humour, character and integrity; whose greatest joy in life was her family - especially her daughter, son in law and grandchildren.

Barb was a devoted mother who overcame countless struggles throughout her life, doing so with an unwavering determination. Her bond with her daughter was truly one of a kind—unbreakable, deep, and filled with the kind of love that only a mother and daughter can share. She was a lover of animals, and had a particularly special bond with cats which included Tucker, who was by her side for the last decade.

Barb found joy in the simple things—whether it was her morning cup of grounded coffee, walking or losing herself in a good book. She found joy in music, with classic rock acting as the soundtrack to her daily life. Her knack for sarcasm and wit brought laughter to those around her, and she had an innate ability to reveal the good in everyone. To know Barb was to be her friend. The terms were synonymous to her.

She was known for her generosity; always willing to lend a helping hand with a heart as big as her smile. She lived her life with a spirit of kindness, always paying it forward and showing others the beauty in the world around us. Her legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness will forever live on through the many people who’s lives she touched along the way. Truly one of a kind, an extraordinary woman, mother, mother in-law and grandmother. Barb leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a passion for life that will never be forgotten.

The family wishes to thank Barb’s MD (Dr. Gannon) and the staff from March of Dimes and Bayshore Home Nursing Services for their support caring for her during recent times.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Diabetes Canada or the Alzheimer’s Association of Canada.

Rest in peace, Barb. You will forever be loved and never forgotten.
