It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) McDonald, peacefully at the age of 92, at the Georgian Bay General Hospital on November 13, 2024.

Born in 1932, Bob was a devoted plumber that worked tirelessly to serve his community with skill and integrity. His work ethics, skill and commitment to his trade was admired by many in the trade.

Bob shared a remarkable life with his beloved wife of 62 years, Joan (deceased 2016). Together they raised 5 children, Sharon Liverpool (Pat, deceased 2020), Kathy (Jim) Mitakidis, Brian (Sheree) McDonald, Mary Ellen (Richard) Galus and the late Michael McDonald.

Together they created a legacy of love and family values that continues to shine in the generations that followed; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

They started their married life in Georgetown and surrounding areas and later moved to Victoria Harbour.

Beyond his career as a plumber, store owner, campground owner, he will be remembered for his amazing sense of humour and jokes. He would always love to tease with a twinkle in his eyes.

In his golden years, he enjoyed playing cards with his friends at local legions.

Bob will be missed and fondly remembered for a life well lived and a heart full of love and laughter/jokes.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family gathering will be held later.
