On earth for 93 ½ years, Charlotte Roussell breathed her last and passed away peacefully on January 12th, 2024 at Georgian Manor, Penetanguishene, Ontario. Widowed for 22 years from husband Andrew, she leaves behind her three children, Corey (Dianne), Sandy (Ron), Jim (Kathy), and beloved grandchild Patricia. Charlotte was born in a small fishing village in Labrador (now the lower north shore Quebec) and was the last surviving of her six siblings. Working as a server at the posh Laurentian Hotel in Montreal, she met a young chef, Andrew from New Brunswick, whom she would marry at age 25.

Andy and Charlotte's first two children were born in Montreal, then after securing better work in Toronto, welcomed their third child and bought their first house in Willowdale. Lured to Alberta for six months, they returned to Toronto, but had to pay off debts before they could afford a townhouse in Malton.

Charlotte and Andy worked to raise their children in a loving family and were finally able to retire near the trailer they enjoyed at Ogden Beach near Midland Ontario. After Andy's unexpected passing in 2001, Charlotte was convinced by her family to purchase a unit at a new seniors complex under construction, Georgian Village in Penetanguishene. She signed the papers on the very day the SS Keewatin returned to Port McNicoll. Charlotte continued loving life with her many friends at Askenonia Seniors Club, playing organ at her church, and enjoying many outings with the Red Hats.

Great thanks to the ParaMed PSW's that allowed Charlotte to continue independent living, especially through the pandemic, and to the staff at the White Pine wing of Georgian Manor that provided nine months of loving care.

She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Charlotte is home now, dancing with the Lord.

Funeral service to be delayed until late spring, with internment to follow.

Arrangements entrusted to LeClair Cremation Centre
