It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Jean Hunt on January 28,2025, in her 98th year. She will be reunited with her beloved husband of 61 years Murdock Hunt (2008) and her children Rhoda Parsons (2018), Terry Hunt (1950), Mona Hunt (2021) and Rodney Hunt (2010).
Lovingly remembered by her 8 grandchildren Jackie Parsons (Lee), Charlene Di Corpo (Late Serafino), Jerry Peddle, Jamie Peddle (Harry), Jessey Hunt (Julia), Paul Baskerville, Dustin Hunt and Sara Hunt. Cherished Great Grandmother to Micheal Di Corpo, Rodney Parsons (Amanda), Andrew Hebner, Cameron Hebner, Ashley Hynes, Silas Peddle, Mackenzie Botic-Peddle, Jaxon Hunt, Emilia Hunt and Avery Hunt. Great, Great Grandmother to Bentley McGregor (Hebner) to who she shared a birthday with, 90 years apart.
Jean died peacefully in her residence Georgian Bay My Life Retirement Home in her 98th year, after a short period of declining health. The staff at Georgian Bay MLR was completely amazing during her last days, they went above the expectations for the level of care required during this time of hardship.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Georgian Bay My Life Retirement Home – in the June 28, 2025 @ 11am and funeral service to follow at Waubaushene Protestant Cemetery at 1:30pm
