Born April 20 1943 in Maasniel, Netherlands, passed away on June 18, 2024 in Penetanguishene, Ontario. Sadly missed by his wife Kathy Slykerman and by daughters Nancy Moodie (Doug) and Nicole Gersper (Daniel), grandchildren Jacob Moodie and Jacqueline Moodie, brother Jack Slykerman (Rita) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by mother Maria Clerx and father Nicolaas Slijkerman, brothers and sisters, Gerry Slykerman, Tuis Slijerman, Jan Slijkerman, Nellie Van Alphen, Marie Klumpkens, Cora Engelen, Truus Sillekens, Nico Slijkerman, Annie Slijkerman, Christine Wester.
He emigrated from the Netherlands to Ingersoll Ontario Canada where he started his family and built a successful business in steel fabrication. He retired to southern Georgian Bay and enjoyed curling, boating and hiking.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peters memory can be made to Hudson Regional Cancer Center at RVH in Barrie, Ontario or the Georgian Bay General Hospital.
Celebration of life will be held at Midland Golf and Country Club on Sunday August 11th from 2:00 - 4:00.
